Uneaks Kids Sneakers CLOSED

Kids grow out of their shoes fast. If you're like me, you're sometimes left thinking about all the money spent on the shoes that are worn for only a few months. Even boys tend to have several pairs of shoes to go with all of their clothing and personality changes. Wouldn't it be great if you could have one pair of affordable shoes that would go with everything?
Take a look at the shoes from Uneaks. These sneakers have see through windows on the sides of the shoes. Instead of changing shoes, you change the socks! The fun and unique designs on the socks show through the sides of the shoes and allow the child to match to their outfit or whatever mood they are in that day.
Uneaks sent us a pair for TRex and they are too cool. The Camel Rev shoes that we have are brown suede with nice strong laces and seem like extremely durable sneakers that won't get torn up a few months into the school year. TRex is a running, jumping, climbing, crazy little boy and these are comfortable for him to wear all the time and stand up to the tests he gives them. They have a custom cup insole for added support and I like that, knowing that while he's running around his feet are nice and comfy. I also like that the Uneaks shoes are environmentally friendly.
It's also really fun for TRex to be able to pick out the socks that will show through the sides. There are tons of socks to choose from. One of the things I like the most is that the socks are all double sided. What does that mean? More for your money! Switch the socks to the other feet for a different look. Two looks with one pair of socks and limitless looks with one pair of shoes!
There are several styles of shoes to choose from for both boys and girls. The socks are all super cute and the Madagascar socks are sure to be a hit with any child. I like the trendy socks for the older kids as well. The skulls and grafiti are awesome and, for the girls, the zebra and leopard are a very stylish choice.

I spend a great deal of time at the computer. I know that, in today's world, I am not alone. There are a lot of people, both in the corporate cubicle world and in the at home business world, that spend hours on end sitting at their computer. We don't all have great posture and it's highly likely that a great majority of us end up sitting at the computer for long periods of time without taking a break. For overall health and well-being, we need some breaks.
The best kind of break? Exercise. I know what you are thinking. "I can't exercise at my desk." "I don't have time to exercise while I'm working." Well, you can, you do and you should. Let me introduce you to Break Pal. It's an interactive "exercise buddy" that will get you up and moving at different points throughout your workday.
Break Pal is a workplace wellness program that was created by two martial arts teachers who found themselves feeling tired and unmotivated after days of computer work. Their creation is a program that runs in the background of your computer and pops up at intervals to give you a few short minutes of their unique style of kunfuaerobics. It's a combination of soft aerobics and a very unique and fluid form of kung fu. It's not high impact. It doesn't take a lot of room. It's easy for everyone from beginners to pros. It's going to make you feel better.
How does it work?
At set intervals you get a pop up message on your computer that it is time to work out. Then you pick your exercise and get a follow-along instructional video on that particular exercise and start your micro workout. In addition, Break Pal is built around a social networking site. One of the things that happens when you grow up is your shoes have to grow up too. It's a sad fact that adults just can't get away with wearing fun shoes. I've accepted the fact that my fun shoes have to be limited to my houseshoes, lest I face public ridicule. I've decided that my kids' shoes should be as fun and cute as possible since the years are short and they will soon have to put them away for more practical choices.
I recently came across a company that has the most fun shoes for kids I have ever seen. Polliwalks are slip on shoes for kids that look like animals. The creative mind behind Polliwalks, Joel Rusnak, has been designing shoes for a long time and has also been a toy designer. His years of experiece in both arenas are apparent when you first look at these adorable shoes.
Polliwalks are soft molded shoes that are waterproof and really easy to wash. They are super easy for kids to put on and take off and, best of all, they are absolutely precious. TRex loves his pair of Polliwalks. Which pair? Of course, the T-Rex shoes. These are seriously cute. They look like dinosaurs and come in pink or green. One of the wonderful details of these shoes is the sole leaves the footprints of the animal it is supposed to be. TRex claims his make him jump higher. I cannot comment on the height of jumps in these shoes. No matter how high the jump or how fast the running, he's super cute when he's doing it!
One of the features that I really like is that Polliwalks uses no waste manufacturing. Anything that is leftover after the moding process is recycled. They also use environmentally friendly packaging. All of their tags and other packaging materials are made from recycled materials. I love those features and kids will love the features like color changing lips on the fish shoes!
How about light up tail on the firefly shoes? Way too cute!

Keeping it Positive CLOSED

These are some of the positive affirmations that we use with TRex. We started these with him not too long ago and it's absolutely amazing how quickly they become a normal part of life. It's also amazing to hear him saying them without us and see his behaviors change because of them.
Positive affirmations are phrases you repeat to yourself to help foster a good attitude and keep a positive mindset about yourself and your achievements. Many people, me included, believe that positive affirmations can change your attitude in such a way that you will be happier and more successful in all that you do.
I was lucky enough to find a company recently called Keeping it Positive. All of the products have positive affirmations all over them. How wonderful to drink your morning cup of coffee in cup that tells you to Believe in Yourself and Dream BIG. Repeat the affirmations to yourself while enjoying your cup of joe and you'll see that your day starts brighter and happier.
The wonderfully sweet and positive mind behind Keeping it Positive, Debbie, sent me one of their pillowcases. I love being able to say my affirmations every night before I go to bed and then have a cute and comfy pillowcase to sleep on.
