Here in the south, winter months mean a huge change in weather as our humidity goes away. When you are used to living practically underwater from humidity it can be quite a shock to skin and my skin is often unbearably dry in the cold months. They are the toys in our childhood memories and the ones our children are making memories with. Some of my favorite toys were Playskool and I love the way these toys can make my children's faces light up.One of my favorite toys when I was a child was my Glow Worm. I can't believe how long these have been around but, it just shows that with Playskool you get toys that are classic and beloved for generations. Time has been good to the Glow Worm and it now has several different soothing lullabies that soothe baby. My daughter wouldn't go to sleep without her Glow Worm when she was a baby.
A toy that is so classic that it's recognizable by practically everyone and has been in major movies is Mr. Potato Head. I always loved this toy and have never met a child that didn't enjoy making silly faces with Mr. Potato Head. Over the years, the Spud has gotten quite an overhaul. You can still get him and the Mrs. in classic form but, there are so many new accessories and styles to choose from. Playskool sent us Captain Potato Chips. The pirate Mr. Potato Head is perfect for my swashbuckling five year old son. In addition to being able to use all the standard Potato Head parts, this guy comes with accessories worthy of the high seas. The parrot, pegleg and hook are so much fun and my son loves playing with this toy.
Play-Doh is one of those things that is just fun for any age. The mini tubs make perfect treats for party bags and for so many kids it is just hours of fun. Many hours of my childhood were spent with Play-Doh and the play sets and molds that were available at the time. I know that when I was a kid we had some sort of set that would make the Play-Doh come out in long spaghetti like strings. It certainly wasn't anything as cool as the Spaghetti Factory Playset that Playskool sent us. This set comes with more than 25 half-molds, a playmat, fork and spoon accessories and 4 tubs of Play-Doh. Kids can make spaghetti and mold meatballs, veggies and other fun toppings. My kids have a blast with this set and it's always fun for them to play with while I'm cooking.

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSEDI say all the time that I was born in the wrong decade. I was wearing flare leg jeans and had a peace sign on my car before it was back in style. I've always felt I was a hippie at heart and generally have to hit vintage stores to find really great 70s-inspired clothing at an affordable price. I have found a store that is so amazing and groovy that I find myself wanting every single item they stock. Soul-Flower is an online shop full of hippie clothes, organic clothing and eco-friendly goodies and gifts. Their eco-friendly selections include pieces made from organic cotton, soft hemp, bamboo and recycled fiber. These clothes and accessories are not only amazingly comfortable, they are also good for the environment. Products like these are so nice to own and I truly love the fabric used in the eco-friendly clothing but, have had a hard time finding items that are affordable. Soul-Flower's prices on their eco-friendly choices are amazing. Soul-Flower sent me their Revolutions Eco-Heather Hoodie. I adore this top. The dark gray is such a comfy color and it fits so perfectly. The top is made from organic cotton and it's super soft. I love the design that incorporates the peace sign, yin yang, recycle sign and other iconic symbols in a pretty pale blue. I wish I had ten more tops just like this.
The Mosaic Reversible Skirt is one of my favorite items in the shop. The colors are vibrant and it looks so very comfortable. I'd love to have a skirt that was so fun and funky on one side and have the ability to transform to a simple black skirt by reversing it!
The Raindrops organic cotton button-up men's shirt is hip and trendy while being durable and comfortable. The children's clothing is all so precious. I find it difficult to pick a favorite item in the children's section of Soul-Flower. There are so many tees to put on any groovy little hippie kid and I'm in love with all of them.
