My kids like to rock. They like to rock and roll all night and party every day. Well, maybe not every day but, they love to rock. When it comes to rockin' music though, there's usually just not all that much of a selection out there for kids. They are happy to rock to our music but, they have a new CD that they can rock out to and I can enjoy as well.
Back in April, the world of kids' rock music got sweeter with the release of the new album from Sugar Free Allstars. Funky Fresh and Sugar Free, the newest album from the rock duo, is another fun and wonderfully upbeat collection of music from two talented dudes.
The Sugar Free Allstars website describes the two as: "Imagine that Deep Purple and Sly and the Family Stone had a love child
that grew up in New Orleans listening to Ray Charles, Black Sabbath and
Booker T." I love it! The funky vibe can be heard in all of their songs and makes them catchy and instant favorites.
Chris (Boom!) Wiser and Rob (Dr. Rock) Martin have been playing their kid friendly rock music all over the country and you can check out their site for the schedule. And, it gets better. They also rock out for the grown ups! Be sure to check out their albums Dos Machos and Return of Dos Machos.

I love to cook. I really do. And, I'd like to think that I'm a good cook. I love me some cool shades. I used to be a very "play it safe" person with my accessories, especially my sunglasses. These days, I have fun with it and love all the funky styles that the celebs wear. My daughter has only recently really started engaging with the educational shows she watches. Even still, she's hesitant at first and will usually only respond to the prompts after watching a show several times. The joy of what they are watching and the fun they have makes them oblivious to the fact that they are learning something beneficial. Plus, the way my kids like to watch things repeatedly, it sure is nice if the repeated watching is something educational!
I definitely recommend the Dwizzle Dee video for all young children. I'll also say that it's refreshing, in our world of crazy graphics and over the top special effects, to see my kids engaged and loving something that's a little simpler. Parents can enjoy the educational value and the laughter that accompanies this DVD.

My children aren't that old. Still, the gear used for them has changed and improved so much since they were babies. As I find new products and new websites, I'm compiling my notebook of "must haves" and "must reads" to use the next time around.
