My son is a mega superhero fanatic. He has most of the superhero movies available and watches them regularly. We don't have cable though, so he has been missing out on a fabulous show from Cartoon Network. Luckily, The Super Hero Squad Show: Quest for the Infinity Sword! Volume 1, just came out on DVD and he's been able to experience this sensation of superhero cartoons.The Super Hero Squad Show arrived on DVD today, July 13th! The show has already been applauded by People magazine as being "the best of the bunch" and by MTV as being "equally enjoyable by kids and adult comic fans alike". I completely agree with the critics. This DVD, featuring the first seven episodes from the first season of The Super Hero Squad Show, is already a favorite with my son and absolutely fun for my comic loving husband. The show is less intense than some of the other animated comics, making it something that even my three year old daughter loves. 
My favorite part is hearing the perfect casting of all-star voices. I love that the same actor who plays Iceman in the XMen movies also lends his voice to the animated Iceman. Mark Hamill and Greg Grunberg, Star Wars and Heroes respectively, are right at home with their voices as characters Ant Man and Red Skull. Other stars, such as Wayne Knight of Seinfeld and Michelle Trachtenberg of Gossip Girl, round out the cast with the likes of George Takai (Star Trek) and the comic man himself, Stan Lee, as the mayor. The bonus features of the disc include a new interview with Stan Lee, a music video and trailers for the show and the Infinity Gauntlet game. Any superhero fan will enjoy this cartoon and I definitely recommend this first season DVD. Even if you have Cartoon Network and watch the show already, this is definitely a "must own" DVD. One of my personal favorite things about summertime is flip flops. Oh yes, I love shoes of all kinds but, flip flops are definitely my favorite. Some of my most favorite flip flops - the comfiest, cutest, most versatile - are my Lindsay Phillips Switchflops. I got my first pair of Switchflops last summer and adore them. The best thing is that I can add to my shoe collection without having to buy more shoes! That's a big plus for me because of my ever disappearing closet space.

My kiddos love music. They love to dance and they love to get crazy when listening to their music. So, music we choose for them has to be upbeat and have that special something that draws them in. If they are watching musicians perform, the bright colors that "kid bands" go for certainly is eye pleasing but, let's face it, some of those brightly colored bands for kids are a parent's worst nightmare. Well, if you are looking for some great music for your kids that won't make you wish for earplugs, let me show you The Dream Jam Band. I describe them as perfect. Perfect music for my kids to fall in love with, dance to, rock out to, kick back with and when they watch the videos they are instantly hooked. The Dream Jam Band is just flat out fun and their music is something that I enjoy listening to with my kids. The first time I turned on music from The Dream Jam Band, my almost-three year old daughter was with me. The song was Bad Hair Day and my daughter instantly started completely rocking out. Head banging led to insane dancing and the song was an instant hit. Their newest album, Leave it in the Soup, is sure to be a mega-hit with kids and parents alike. Parents.com, the online version of Parents magazine, says that The Dream Jam Band "keep things light with songs that kids' can echo" and I completely agree. One of my favorite things about my house are all of our pictures. It's really my very fave way to decorate my walls. What I most enjoy, is having a few really large prints to really pop out. What I do not enjoy is that we don't have a printer to create those large prints and the drugstore photo printing can sometimes leave a little to be desired.
