When I was a kid, one of my favorite movies was Freaky Friday. Then there was Like Father Like Son. Now, the classic storyline that kids always dream of, switching places with the grown ups, gets a hilarious update in the new movie, Opposite Day.
Opposite Day stars Pauly Shore, Dick Van Patten, Rico Rodriguez from Modern Family and French Stewart among the all-star cast. After being disappointed by his parents, 9 year old Sammy makes a wish that kids ruled the world. Of course, it doesn't work out the way he thought. Hilarity ensues and lessons are learned. Movies like this are fantastic for a good family night at home with kids of all ages. My six year old son loved it and I am happy to say that I totally enjoyed both the movie and the time laughing with my son.
This holiday season, movies make such a great gift. Whether you need something for your nieces and nephews, a stocking stuffer for your own kids or a great gift for the class party, Opposite Day is sure to be a hit with kids of all ages and parents as well. I love movies that can be for so many in the family and this is definitely one of those kinds of movies.
