Fiber One and $25 Safeway Card

I buy a lot of snacks at the grocery store. Snacks and cereal. Lots of both. Earlier this year I started making a concerted effort to switch to healthier versions of all the foods I buy for my family. Recently, we tried some new granola bars (one of our favorite snacks) and some new cereal that we all loved.
I'm sure you've all seen the commercials that let you know that Fiber One cereals and bars give you at least 35% of your daily value of fiber. What I didn't know was that there is so much more than fiber in the Fiber One products. There's fiber but, there's also things like antioxidant vitamins A and E and, above all, fabulous flavor. Fiber definitely doesn't have to be boring or some powder you mix in your water. Fiber can be fun and is definitely vital.
Fiber One offers their Raisin Bran Clusters that contain crispy, lightly sweetened whole grain flakes, plump raisins and crunchy clusters while giving you 11 grams of fiber and vitamins per serving. What I went for, though, was the Fiber One Honey Clusters. This is a yummy cereal full of the lightly sweetened whole grain flakes and scrumptious honey clusters. It's also got 13 grams of fiber in every one-cup serving!
Aside from the cereals (and there are several others), Fiber One offers my daughter's favorite granola bars. They are chewy, full of chocolate chips and topped with a little chocolate drizzle. She thinks it's a dessert treat. I know that it's got 35% of the daily fiber recommendation.
Fiber One also has yogurt, muffin and pancake mix, bread, toaster pastries and cottage cheese. I actually didn't know that they had expanded from the simple cereal to so many yummy products. Of the items we've tried from Fiber One, I do really like the taste and love knowing that there is so much goodness in it. I do wish that there wasn't any corn syrup and if Fiber One found a way to eliminate that, I'd be a loyal and devoted customer. Otherwise, in a grocery store sea of products containing hfcs with nothing substantial in the food, it's good to know that Fiber One foods at least have some really great vitamins and are a yummy way to get your daily fiber.
