My daughter has only recently really started engaging with the educational shows she watches. Even still, she's hesitant at first and will usually only respond to the prompts after watching a show several times. The first time she saw Dwizzle Dee, she was laughing and talking with the characters without hesitation.
Dwizzle Dee™ – Colors, Sizes, Songs & Imagination!, the first title in a new educational DVD series created to entertain and educate preschool children, has been approved and endorsed by two prestigious nationally recognized parenting organizations-- The Dove Foundation and KIDS FIRST! Coalition For Quality Children's Media. The DVD series teaches fundamentals such as colors, sizes and shapes with the help of its unique characters – Lenny, Penny, and Gifford, and their teacher, Ms. Ashley. Featuring colorful and lovable live-action puppet characters together with animation, the series encourages children to participate in all of the fun and stimulating adventures in Ms. Ashley’s classroom.
As a parent, I always want my children to be learning. If they can be happily entertained while learning it is always a plus and makes for a happy day in our household. I also firmly believe that my children learn more when they don't realize they are learning. The joy of what they are watching and the fun they have makes them oblivious to the fact that they are learning something beneficial. Plus, the way my kids like to watch things repeatedly, it sure is nice if the repeated watching is something educational!
I definitely recommend the Dwizzle Dee video for all young children. I'll also say that it's refreshing, in our world of crazy graphics and over the top special effects, to see my kids engaged and loving something that's a little simpler. Parents can enjoy the educational value and the laughter that accompanies this DVD.
